When you host a house party you are giving Bob an opportunity to meet and greet potential voters. When someone has an opportunity to shake hands, ask questions and look in the eye of a perspective candidate they have a better understanding of who the candidate is. By hosting a house party you are enabling Bob to let potential voters see who he is and what he stands for.
